Stylish, comfortable and functional, what more could you ask for? New York fashion brand and TVSN favourite, Nina Leonard, is back for another season of fabulous dressing. We chat to design director Danielle Kulig about this season's fabrics, textures and powerhouse prints.
What prompted your foray into the fashion industry?
The Fashion industry is an exciting, fast-paced environment with constant creativity. This industry allows us to express ourselves by designing amazing clothing and prints that bring joy to others.
How would you describe your creative process?
It’s all about the customer. At Nina Leonard, we always acknowledge what the customer wants and interpret it for future styles with updated colours and prints. We strive to be on-trend, but we also strive to design wearable clothing that makes our customers feel and look great.
How would you describe your designs?
Our designs are easy-wear, easy-care clothing. Everything at Nina Leonard is made for comfort, with a nod to the current trends. We want our customers to feel great, no matter their size or shape.
What makes your brand different?
At Nina Leonard, we do plenty of research to make sure all our global customers are happy. We listen to comments, ideas and requests through social media, which allows us to bring women the fashion they desire. We want our customers to feel good and look good at an affordable cost.

Nina Leonard fashion represents an attitude, not an age. Fans rave about stylish, functional, comfortable clothing, appropriate for the multi-dimensional lives we live.
Could you describe the construction of a selected style/piece?
Instead of selecting one piece, I would rather discuss Nina Leonard as a whole. We use machine washable, stretch fabrics that glide across the body and are easy to care for. Our pants are pull-on with elastic waists for an easy, no-hassle look. We make sure to give our customers a full rise for comfort and coverage. We fit both missy and plus-sizes to the body to ensure each piece fits perfectly on a model.
Do you have any favourite materials/colours/prints to work with?
We love anything with stretch because of the comfort factor. We also like soft fabrics that glide across the body.
What is involved with the creation of a your design?
We do a lot of research by looking at global trends and incorporating that with our best-seller styles. We want to make sure our customer gets what she needs to feel great.
What can TVSN customers look forward to for the launch of Spring/Summer?
Customers can look forward to new styles, great colours and updated prints. In addition, there will be some updated fabrics and textures. We hope this launch brings a smile to everyone’s face!
